The Verdict

THIS IS A SPOILER.

Throughout the competition, the standings of your beloved contestants are shown in every round.  Three of whom, Al, Tyler, and Trip, all make it to the finals. In the end, Al finishes first but with two blank spaces and is disqualified. Tyler then takes the lead and becomes the youngest crossword champion of all time.
